In 2021 MTV launched the first ever Trending: VMAs, a new collection of awards voted on by fans exclusively on TikTok that aim to celebrate the creators and artists driving music trends and culture.

Quen Blackwell hosted the award celebration live on MTV’s TikTok, with special guests and live performances.
